Concorde foes march to denounce Carter on SST policy
About 200 Concorde opponents protested outside the White House led by New York state senator Sheldon Farber. They accused President Carter of lying about the SST stance and said the administration kept Concorde information secret to avoid straining US relations with Britain and France. The demonstrators urged blocking Concorde flights from US airports including Kennedy, while Air France and British Airways conducted a trial run at Dulles with potential plans for JFK.
