Fertility Drug May Boost Men's Sperm Production
At a UC conference, Dr. Carl Heller and son Gary described clomiphene cilrase as increasing male hormone production and sperm concentration in some men after a six month treatment. Forty single men underwent eight years of testing with mixed fertility results noted. A separate talk discussed a chlorohydrin chemical that sterilizes male rats, potentially improving pest control, with one dose causing permanent sterility. The conference highlighted ongoing research and market readiness uncertainties.
