Maternity Plan Criticized by Washington Prelate
The Roman Catholic archbishop of Washington condemned Fauquier Hospital Virginia for a maternity program including sterilization as absolutely immoral. He urged that even voluntary sterilization, even with patient consent, is an immoral means to a misunderstood end. The hospital says the program serves indigent mothers with contraceptive instruction and is not a sterilization mill.
