Mountain Fire Held in Cheek near Saugus
A forest fire ten miles northeast of Saugus in the Angeles National Forest was containment after 500 firefighters built a perimeter around the blaze. Crews plan to reduce to 150 overnight with mop up to follow. one unoccupied cabin burned. Residents displaced were allowed to return home.
