Murder suspects arraigned in Aug. 24 clerk slaying case

Four youths from Bellflower Lakewood Downey and Long Beach faced one count each of murder and armed robbery for the slaying of Virgie Aiken, an elderly grocery clerk. They left Compton Municipal Court for Los Angeles Superior Court trial set Sept. 20, with officers escorting them.
