Dear Abby style advice with unsigned greeting cards
A long reader letter column recaps humorous and rueful examples of gift gaffes and petty money gifts in marriages. It includes a birthday check scare, a Mother's Day cash gift, a birthday card box prank, a vanished $100 loan, and a mother-in-law friction note. A 1927 Milwaukee University dorm ban on private apartments for men is recalled.
