Surgeon Details chemical peel for aging skin
Miami surgeon Dr. Thomas J. Baker Jr. described a chemosurgical peel removing five to seven microns of skin, about the thickness of a sheet of paper, at a session of the American College of Surgeons. The procedure, painful and selective to light complexions, leaves a line of demarcation and requires five to seven days of recovery followed by six months of sun avoidance.
