Airlines fined for fixing military excursion fares in trial
In New York a federal judge ordered Pan American World Airways Trans World Airlines and Luftansa to pay fines totaling 4.5 million dollars after pleading no contest to conspiring to fix prices on military excursion flights between West Germany and the United States. The ruling follows indictments last February and a civil settlement with the government.
