Inmate dies in Deuel stabbing incident
Two inmates were stabbed Tuesday at Deuel Vocational Institute. Robert J. Consol, 27, died from back and chest wounds in a maximum security yard. Ray Howard, 23, was wounded but survived with a superficial back stab wound in the general recreation yard. Officials said the attacks were unrelated.
