Pan Am aims low fares to Far East under CAB push
Pan American World Airways urged the Civil Aeronautics Board to approve budget trans Pacific fares from New York Los Angeles San Francisco to Bangkok and other Asian points. The proposal would cut one way fares by about 49 percent from present levels while expanding service to Tokyo and other destinations, with fares from Honolulu to Tokyo quoted at substantial savings.
