Ruling sought on campaign fund violations by major parties

Political fund report filed but eight face suit in California
In Sacramento, former Fresno Mayor Wallace Henderson and eight other 1970 election candidates were sued by Secretary of State Edmund Brown Jr for alleged campaign financing disclosures. Henderson’s name will be struck from the civil suit in Sacramento County Superior Court. He claimed his records were destroyed in a fire and he was injured in a car crash. Brown cited reconstructed records showing about $3,900 raised. Henderson’s statement arrived in Sacramento postmarked Fresno Oct 15, the filing deadline. Also in Sacramento, the Senate sent Gov Reagan a bill to require access to state criminal history records on file with the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation.
