New Hawaii Mainland Airline Routes Announced
The FAA will add air routes between the U.S. mainland and Hawaii, increasing the number from four to six on December 1. The change uses composite separation with reduced lateral spacing and a vertical 1000 ft separation to gain fuel economy and efficiency compared with the older four-route system.
