Mrs Hearst in jail clash shocks San Mateo jail visit
Mrs Catherine Hearst, mother of Patricia Hearst, was shoved against a jail wall during a San Mateo County jail visit. A later report said Stanford radio station KCSU received a 3 second anonymous call threatening mass explosions if Miss Hearst is not freed. No injuries were reported from the Thursday scuffle in the waiting room.

Five youths wounded in East Los Angeles gun attack
In an East Los Angeles suburb, five youths were shot early Saturday by shotgun fire from a speeding car. Andy Martinez, 20, was critically wounded and taken to Martin Luther King hospital. the other four suffered major to minor injuries. Deputies had no clues on the three youths in the car.
