Ronald Wayne Hogan and Gail Marie Lamberson were arrested on murder warrants in connection with the stabbing death of 15 year old Rebecca Marie Wostas near Medford Oregon. Investigators say she was found with multiple stab wounds and bindings, possibly killed before October 6. A runaway girl had reported a kidnapping story matching the scene.
Scientists from Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the University of Texas report deadly carbon monoxide found in Jupiter's atmosphere. Observations from October and November 1974 using McDonald Observatory spectra identify hydrogen and helium as major atmospheric components.
