California DFG aerially plants over five million fish in high lakes
The California Department of Fish and Game reports a record year of aerial fish planting with 5,?? million fingerling trout and salmon dropped across 912 high elevation lakes in April through September. Flights totaled 61 with 122.9 hours over high lakes and 14.2 hours for lower reservoirs. Species mix and park closures shaped totals, while southern waters and year-round reservoirs will receive continued stocking.
