Funeral services were held Monday for Donald Miles Whales grandson of Miles Lines executive editor of the Independent Eress Telegram. San Diego deputies reported autopsy showed strangling while body was found beneath a bridge in San Tieso County. The boy was reported missing by his mother Sandra Te Whaler of El Cajon and was the subject of a widely publicized search before a work crew found his body. Sheriff’s spokesman said initial thought was death by fall but evidence indicates strangling. The body bore the same clothing as when last seen.
