Man in La Puente Burns in Gas Explosion
A 21 year old man, William Leon Christie, was critically burned in La Puente after turning on gas jets to light a cigarette. He suffered third degree burns to the upper body and was taken to General Hospital in grave condition. Deputies say he intended to end his life and lit a cigarette when the explosion occurred, demolishing the front portion of the house.
