Cleaver Speech Ends Berkeley Rally With Obscene Reagan Slur
Eldridge Cleaver addressed about 5000 at UC Berkeley delivering obscenities directed at Gov. Reagan. The crowd reacted with mixed support while Regents and critics debated permitting his guest lectures in a racism course. Cleaver stated he would continue speaking as long as tolerated, and the event was organized by the Center for Participant Education for Social Analysis 139.
