Cal Expo Overhauls Its Management in Sacramento
California Exposition and Fair recasts leadership after a bleak first season at the new site. The 22 member executive committee takes over operations from the nonprofit company and replaces general manager Eugene R. Lemmon with Thomas E. Bair, who will earn 25000 dollars annually. The move comes as officials cited attendance shortfalls and mounting maintenance costs ahead of the 1969 season.
