Army pair escape from prison bus on San Diego Freeway
Two soldiers leaped off an Army prison bus on the San Diego Freeway Tuesday in Fountain Valley and remained at large late Tuesday night. A third, Randy Bruce Adams, was captured after a hairline skull fracture in the 10 a.m. escape attempt and was turned over to Marine MPs. He was in satisfactory condition at El Toro base hospital.

Police Face Trial for Assault of College Profit Protest
Two Long Beach police officers Eugene Brizzolara and Warren Simpson face a jury in Los Angeles on counts of assault under the 1868 civil rights law.
