Pupil Power Helps Providence High Fight Deficit
Providence High School students in Joliet area rally for funds to cover a $90,000 budget deficit under a "Save Our School" drive. They have raised over $30,000 with door calls, street appeals, festival tickets and letters to business donors. Diocesan officials weigh closing one or two of ten high schools if the district cannot raise about $570,000.
