An early critique tracing the history of weight reduction schemes aimed at women. It denounces charlatans who sold promises of rapid inches shed and cheap programs while noting the enduring trust in legitimate, educated women seeking real results and safer methods.
Miss Pat Walker promotes a revolution in weight reduction with a new program and equipment designed to replace outdated methods. She offers personal consultations and analyzes each figure to show where to lose, costs, and time, aiming to restore confidence and appearance for women across ages and backgrounds.
Jeanne Crawford of Lakewood, a long time France born opera singer, plans a holiday dress change after using a reducing program with Miss Pat Walker. She recalls years of weight gain since moving to the United States and describes feeling unattractive as she posed with her dog Kirna, a Paris born black poodle, while discussing body image and self esteem.
Miss Walker promotes a nonstarvation, personalized reducing program that tones tissue rather than merely dieting. She claims 5 million women worldwide have benefited, with salons in California Hawaii and Australia and emphasis on losing where needed to reshape the body.
Australian journalist quotes Pat Walker asserting no difference between Australian and American women in reducing, praising her unique computerized equipment, global salon expansion to Hong Kong Tokyo and Mexico City, and stressing a single focus on reducing services over added products. She notes patrons range from 8 to over 80 and visits Australia four times yearly.
