Utilities overruling on expense deductions in public power clash
The Federal Power Commission ruled that 59 major electric utilities improperly deducted as business expenses the cost of pamphlets and ads in a public versus private power dispute. Rep. Chudoff called the finding far reaching and warned it could imply back taxes for the companies.
