Central Valley reservoirs still decline despite rain
Central Valley reservoirs fell 108,090 acre feet between April 5 and Monday, state officials said Wednesday. Water storage sits slightly above half the year ago level and 4 percent of the 10 year average. About 100,000 acre feet flowed into Northern California reservoirs in early May as rainfall totals to May 23 are listed for several basins. Fire activity rises with drier conditions and national forest facilities remain open with restrictions to campfires and smoking.
