Churches Debate Sex Education In Swinging Sixties Era
A series of church led sex education courses for middle and high school students is described. Lectures run across weekend sessions with both students and parents, emphasizing a moral framework and open discussion. Clergy report positive reactions from families and note diverse program formats, including coed and gender specific forums. Leaders urge earlier, school based education to address rising mass media influence.
