Eichmann Trial Eyes King's Fate
Israel's Yaakov Bar or opens the seventh week of Adolf Eichmann's trial with a broader look at Bulgaria and Greece. He cites King Boris of Bulgaria as blocking deportations and saving 40,000 Bulgarian Jews, while noting conflicting reports on Boris's death in 1943 and possible poisoning. Bar or argues the Nazi goal aimed at Bulgaria's Jews and Greek Jews faced tragic fates in forced labor and Auschwitz.
