Child Care Tax Breaks Expand to Millions of Families
Two million taxpayers now receive the child care deduction and four million are expected to use the new arb in profits. The committee would cost the Treasury an extra 225 million dollars yearly by expanding deductions for child care and certain household services so both parents or a single parent may work. Under current law deductions are partial and the panel aims to widen credits by adjusting the maximum per-child expense to 300 dollars and reshaping the tax liability for families earning up to 20 thousand dollars. The Senate panel offered broader terms including relative credits labeled Grandma Amer Nant, with similar provisions projected for the next year.
