Waitress of the Week Alma Becker at Salvatore's Continental
Alma Becker of Salvatore's Continental-Italian at 14 Elm Ave is named Waitress of the Week. Born in Lodi California she has lived in Long Beach since 1951. She began waiting tables at age six in Monrovia and later worked near the Pasadena Playhouse. She has been at the Continental for three years and recalls curious questions from diners such as whether canned spaghetti is served.
