New techniques in treating gangrene use induced high blood pressure
Seven Scandinavian doctors report healing gangrenous foot ulcers in five patients by creating a moderate blood pressure rise with fluorocortisone acetate or desoxy corticosterone acetate plus sodium chloride alongside standard care. Blood pressures stayed elevated for months then returned to baseline after withdrawal, with no recurrence of gangrene. A second study notes eye patients still prefer multi bed rooms over private rooms, even when private rooms are affordable, suggesting rooming preferences may trump cost.

It cites figures for fiscal 1969 and 1968 and quotes the London Economist on the levies.
