CIA scales back holdings in companies tied to CIA assets
Newsweek reports the CIA is reducing the size and number of companies it owns and has had in past covert ventures. Pacific Corp. halved to about 1,100 employees since 1970 while overall agency assets shrink. Some firms may be sold, with contingency funds and CIA selected investments amid classified inputs.
