Utility District Sues Six Firms Over Fifteen Million
The Chelan County Public Utility District filed a 15 million dollar lawsuit in Seattle federal court against six major electrical equipment manufacturers. The action alleges overcharges on hydroelectric equipment bought from 1954 to 1960 for the Rocky Reach Dam on the Columbia River above Wenatchee. Defendants include General Electric, Westinghouse Electric, Allis-Chalmers, Federal Pacific, McGraw-Edison, and ITE Circuit Breaker.
