The club began in a Miss Wolcott home studying Ste Dow works, later joining the National Federation of Music Clubs. It funded $6,500 in student scholarships, helped develop talents including Marilyn Horne and Akira Endo, and kept a silver loving cup since 1913 for excellence in music study. It supported community projects, entertained the military, and urged women musicians’ employment as early as 1919.
