Ex Humphrey aide guilty in fund case
Jack L Chestnut, former Humphrey campaign manager, convicted of soliciting and accepting a $12,000 corporate contribution from AMPI in June 1970. Jury found he sought and concealed the funds, faces up to two years and a $10,000 fine at sentencing June 26. Humphrey testified and said he did not knowingly direct illicit contributions.
