Asks Carb on Taxes Write-Off

Treasury Secretary Humphrey urged a Senate panel to restrict the tax write off program used to subsidize defense related plant costs. Falls Into Well Toddlers Rescue Surfaces Heroic Save

In Stuart Virginia a baby named Sue Anne Khawin reportedly fell about 75 feet into an abandoned well used as a trash dump. Neighbors lowered a man to reach her, and she was pulled to safety on a rocking chair, aided by cardboard boxes tossed into the well to help save her life.
