Alien Pensions Move Through Solon Committee

In Sacramento the Assembly Ways and Means Committee approved a bill to extend pensions to aliens who lived in the U S for two years before 1992, with federal and county contributions expected to total about 6.9 million annually. The panel also backed studies on allied pupil needs and stalled a 57,000,000 health department grant for home accident prevention. The group discussed but delayed a junior college funding bill of 10 million yearly, while author Bruce Allen led several other measures including log brand registrations.
