Vice Ring Cracked in Argentina
Federal police announced the capture of an eight million dollar white slavery ring, one of Latin Americas largest. Sixteen people were arrested, including eight French men who ran the operation. The ring, linked to Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia, owned numerous night clubs in Buenos Aires and suburbs and operated high end brothels abroad. Members allegedly lured Argentine women to travel overseas and coerced them into prostitution.
