Death row inmate backs capital punishment in others cases

Charles William Proffitt, a Florida death row inmate awaiting a Supreme Court ruling, says he supports the death penalty in general but not for his own case. He argues justice favors the rich and poor differently, and laments his pleas and innocence while reflecting on the 1973 killing of wrestling coach Joel Medgebow during a burglary. He fled, was recaptured, extradited, and sentenced to death after a jury recommended electrocution.
