Museum Filth Exhibit Sparks Los Angeles Dispute
County supervisors threaten to close the Edward Kienholz show at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art unless objectionable items are removed or the exhibit is canceled. Trustees had restricted access to adults 18 plus, while critics labeled scenes repugnant and pornographic, calling for removal of key works including a prostitution scene and a blasphemous Nativity piece.
