Senator Dills Denies Fraud in Imperial Valley Land Sale
State Senator Ralph Dills of Gardena faces a $3 million suit by John and Theresa Strantund over a 320 acre Imperial Valley sale in 1973 alleging fraud and malice. The Strantunds claim the land belonged to the federal government since 1910 and that the title was not clear, while Dills insists a title search failed to reveal lack of ownership and calls the suit a friendly action to recover investments.
