U S Bank Official Sworn In As Long Beach Chairman

Preston G. Martin of Pasadena takes oath as new chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank in an informal Long Beach ceremony to ensure a quorum. Rep. H Allen Smith criticized Nixon aides pressuring the outgoing chairman. Martin, 45, previously California Savings and Loans commissioner, plans to travel to Washington Monday.

Four Die in Baja Plane Crash Into Ocean

Four killed and three injured when twin engine plane crashed into the Pacific off Cabo San Lucas. Survivors rescued by a fishing boat and taken to a La Paz hospital. Identifications include pilot E. P. Knox co pilot R. W. Hanson and others. Authorities said the crash occurred Friday afternoon and word reached officials Saturday.
