Duncan Henchmen Must Die Justice Upholds Death Sentences
The California State Supreme Court upheld the convictions and death sentences of Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Duncan of Santa Barbara and two men, Augus tine Baldonado and Louis Moya, for hiring the murders of her daughter-in-law Olga Duncan. Olga was killed Nov. 17, 1958. Duncan’s motive cited jealousy of her son’s wife. Baldonado and Moya pleaded guilty, while Duncan appealed on claims of juror prejudice and insanity. Moya and Baldonado faced potential lesser penalties, but the court found no errors warranting reduced punishment.
