A dope‑addicted robber was shot in the leg and captured by police at 4th Street and Magnolia Avenue after attempting to flee two officers. Albert Romero Villa, 23, admitted stealing a purse from Mrs. Juanita Clark, 51, but his wound was not life threatening. The incident followed two prior robbery attempts nearby.
