Average American sees good times staying steady

A Federal Reserve Board report based on a January February survey of about 3000 spending units finds most households feel financially stable. 45 percent report higher income than a year ago, 36 percent report no change, and 17 percent report less money, with 5 percent holding liquid assets. The majority anticipate continued good times, planning major purchases at similar pace to last year, though housing plans show a slight dip.
