California hires fired executive to run Atascadero State Hospital
Dr G Lee Sandritter named superintendent of Atascadero State Hospital amid unrest and conflicting reports about his Washington departure. Gov Rosellini of Washington said dismissal cited general mismanagement and immoral relations at Eastern State Hospital. Calif officials praised Sandritter’s qualifications and noted his resignation effective April 1.
