Sealab videotape shows diver rescuing mate ends in tragedy
A Navy board reviewed a February 17 videotape from Sealab 3 showing Aquanaut Berry M. Cannon dying from carbon dioxide poisoning on the ocean floor 610 feet deep. Warrant Officer Robert Barth dragged Cannon toward the ladder and tried to give him air from his own hose as the pair struggled toward the transport capsule.
