Driver Held for Death of Woman
Police held Mrs. Ruby Reed, 39, of 951 Upland Ave San Pedro for felonious drunk driving after her car struck and killed a woman on Ocean Blvd at Junipera Ave while another woman, Carmen Diaz 60 of 1950 BE Market St, died after being struck on Cherry Ave north of 33rd St. The second victim died in hospital and Diaz died on arrival.
