Political Analyst Predicts Democratic Win In '52
Washington June 3 C Political analyst Louis Bean, famed for predicting 1948, said his forecasting formula points to a Democratic presidential victory in 1952. He projects 54 to 56 percent of the two party vote and notes 266 electoral votes would require about 52 percent of the two party popular vote. He cites uncertainties from Truman’s non run to possible Taft Eisenhower deadlock, strikes, and Korea truce as factors. The analyst also lists several Republican senators as having poor or doubtful reelection prospects.
