Washington July 21 The House passed an eleven month extension of wage price rent and consumer credit controls after amending the measure in a series of roll call votes Econ stabilizer Eric Johnston criticized the bill saying it would raise consumer prices and hurt buyers He noted the removal of beefrellback restrictions and slaughtering quotas would cost consumers hundreds of millions of dollars in higher prices The House also dropped a four month wage salary price freeze and eliminated an administration opposed provision and kept a skeleton version of the administration plan Page 4
