Long Beach Flooded as Offshore Storm Hits CA Coast

Long Beach lay ankle deep in water after a offshore storm swept Southern California, with more rain feared as a new system from the Gulf of Alaska approaches. The Weather Bureau traced the storm to remnants of a Taiwan rainfall event, while debris filled beaches and city crews worked to clear refuse with dredges and trucks.
