Auto Price Rises Coming To Boost Car Costs
DETROIT February reports indicate the Office of Price Controller will issue an order within days allowing more than a five per cent list price increase on autos. If enacted, a five percent rise would add about 72.55 to a Chevrolet sedan, 101.55 to a Mercury, and 182.70 to a Cadillac convertible, with officials noncommittal in Washington. The ESA order to roll back prices to December 1 was set to expire March 1, a week away.

Two injured in head on collision on Paramount Boulevard
Eddie R. Britton aged 24 and passenger Anthony Sharpsky aged 23 from Houghton Park Village and Lynwood sustained head injuries when their car skid on wet pavement and collided with John Andersen aged 45 of Paramount Boulevard.
